Through performances such as the Woods Piano Concert Series, Jazz Piano Concert Series, Encore Award, and Curtain Call Award, students and the community connect with emerging and top performing artists and alumni. These inspiring performances provide invaluable educational engagement opportunities for our students.

Woods Piano Concert – Marina Lomazov
Praised by critics as “a diva of the piano” (The Salt Lake City Tribune), “a mesmerizing risk-taker” (The Plain Dealer, Cleveland), and “simply spectacular” (Chicago International Music Foundation) Ukrainian-American pianist Marina Lomazov has established herself as one of the most passionate and charismatic performers on the concert scene today. Following prizes in the Cleveland International Piano Competition, William Kapell International Piano Competition, Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, and Hilton Head International Piano Competition, Ms. Lomazov has given performances throughout North America, South America, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Austria, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Russia, Japan and in nearly all of the fifty states in the U.S.

Piano Concert Series - Rosângela Sebba
Dr. Rosângela Yazbec Sebba is a Professor of Piano at Mississippi State University (MSU), where she coordinates the piano area and the Community Music School. She initiated the All-Steinway School, a 12-year initiative completed in 2024, and teaches applied lessons, piano literature, and theory. Her college and pre-college students have received numerous awards and honors for their performances and presentations in regional, national, and international competitions and conferences.

Jazz Piano Concert Series - Isaiah J. Thompson
Isaiah J. Thompson is a jazz musician and performer, that aims to emit love, spirit and respect and convey his personal experiences and passion for the music through his artistry. Thompson worked on the Golden Globe nominated soundtrack for the film Motherless Brooklyn, was named a Steinway Artist and has been awarded other accolades including, the 2018 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award and second place in the 2018 Thelonious Monk Competition. In 2023 he was named the winner of the American Pianists Awards and the Cole Porter Fellowship in Jazz.
